MW PLANNING ENGINEERS

Positions: 4 to 6

Technical Requirements:

The candidate must have a proven record of experiences acting as a Microwave
Planning Engineer for 2G/3G mobile networks and specifically:

- At least 2-4 years of experience doing microwave planning
activities (MW Network Design);

- Knowledge of Pathloss software (mandatory) and Mapinfo (opcional,
but important);

- Past experience with path calculation (link design) and
interference calculation.

Language Skills:

- Portuguese (required);

- English – written and spoken (required);

- Spanish (optional).

Communication Skills:

- Good inter-personal communication skills;

- Able to work under pressure and react polite and professionally
when meeting the customer and among the colleagues (emotional intelligence);

- Ability to coordinate people and to lead;

- Proactive, customer oriented, focus on results.

Responsibility:

The candidate will be involved in the following activities, depending on the
requirements of the project and workload:

- Based on the project requirements and the customer requests
provide a microwave network design to solve the transmission needs of 2G and
3G mobile networks;

- Request and review the link design for each microwave hop,
ensuring the theoretical performance of the network and keeping track of the
progress;

- Request and review the path survey (or LOS), ensuring the
feasibility of the MW links planned and keeping track of the progress;

- Review LOS reports, PPI and PDI;

- Provide information for SITAR registration.

Work Location:

- São Paulo (4 people);

- Rio de Janeiro (2 people);

- The candidate must be prepared to travel around Brazil and Latin
America sometimes;

- Ability to re-locate (a plus).
