Position: Investment Analyst

Report to: Investment Director

1. The Purpose

The Analyst position will assist the senior members in the investment team in contributing to investment efforts while also improving the business processes in order to deliver results and profits. The position requires initiative, creativity, effective communication and multi-tasking capabilities.

2. Functional Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Investment team, you will be in charge of the commercial and financial analysis for our projects in Brazil. As the main keeper of the pro-forma, you will work within the investment team and liaise with various departments/teams locally, as well as global headquarters in Shanghai. You will conduct market research and collect data of the agriculture and bio-energy industries in Brazil mostly and Latin America on a broader scope. You will assist the Director to prepare investment memos for the Investment Committee based in Shanghai. To assist us further expand our regional presence, you will help to source new deals in the market, provide your expertise and play a key role in evaluating the latest opportunities.

3. Essential Requirements:

3.1.1 1-2 years’ working experience in private equity, consulting or corporate strategy/BD teams with familiarity of market search and business cases preparation. A superb command of PPT is required for this role

3.1.2 Be degree qualified in either finance, commercial or technical discipline from a top university, with industry exposure to Agriculture and bio-energy a plus

3.1.3 Be equipped with an entrepreneurial mindset and possess initiative and multi-tasking capability under stress in order to perform in this position demanding flexibility

3.1.4 Be proficient with numbers, financial analysis and modeling in Excel

3.1.5 Proficiency in English and Portuguese (both writing and speaking), in particular business communications in both languages. Mandarin would be considered a plus.
