Job Summary:
The Principal Solution Architect Smart Metering is a very important member of the global team and will significantly contribute to Ericsson’s global commercial success in the emerging Smart Metering & Smart Grids market. The Position provides opportunities for working on leading edge technologies. As the business grows the Solution Architects will have a chance to leverage on own proven track record in establishment phase of business to get an accelerated career growth.
The Principal Solution Architect Smart Metering is expected to
· Identify Utilities Industry and customer opportunities (resulting from changing regulatory requirements, new market models and requirements, and new technology developments), where Ericsson can successfully establish a bridge-head for long-term business.
· Work closely with customers, local account teams and business partners to analyze business and technical customer requirements and to build winning value propositions for successful customer engagements.
· Take a leading role to develop service-driven end-to-end Smart Metering solutions based on own and 3rd party services and products, supporting Ericsson’s engagement as Prime Integrator and Managed Service Provider.
Requirements
· Master’s degree in engineering (IT or Telecom) or the equivalent theoretical background acquired through experience and/or in any other way
· At least 9 years of relevant experience, of which approximately 7 years of Solution Architect and System design of utilities indisutry ICT solutions
· Proven track-record as system architect for Smart Metering projects (Smart Metering / M2M communications, AMM, MDM, SOA, data base design, security), preferably electricity metering
· Experience of delivering the complex System Integration projects in the Smart Metering area in a technical lead role
· Experience with Demand Side Management, Revenue Management / Revenue Assurance and Distribution Network Automation projects is an advantage
· Past experience from answering tenders from utilities customers (RFQs, RFIs)
· Proven experience from translating business needs into requirements on ICT solutions and operation
