• Experience in the industrial marketplace including some of the following industries: chemicals, oil and gas, building materials, energy, fiberglass and composites reinforcements;
• Ability to draft contracts and legal memoranda in English;
• Experience in contracting with Brazilian government entities or quasi-governmental entities;
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and demonstrating sound business judgment in a fast moving environment;
• Ability to work within the hierarchy and matrix of a multi-national company;
• Excellent problem solving, decision making, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ethics-driven and strong leadership skills;
• Ability to deal tactfully and confidently with internal and external customers at all organizational levels in independent and often stressful situations;
• Ability to manage multiple overlapping deadlines;
• Strategic/critical thinking with the ability to analyze details for achieving program objectives;
• Mindset for identifying and implementing process improvements; and
• Willing to relocate to Rio Claro or a nearby city.
• Law degree of a well accredited law school in Brazil and admission to practice (aprovação da OAB);
• Masters' Degree (preferably in business law or MBA)
• 5 to 7 years of experience working as in-house counsel for a multi-national corporation;
• Full proficiency in English, an advanced level of Spanish is a plus;
• Strong knowledge of antitrust, commercial, civil and labor law; advance knowledge of tax law.
