Plant Manager - Santa Rosa de Viterbo/SP - Brazil
Responsible for the overall planning, direction, leadership, control and administration of all areas of manufacturing operations and associated functions in our facility in Santa Rosa de Viterbo, countryside of Sao Paulo State, Brazil.

The facility produces Citric Acid and Citric Salts 365 days/year. Operating on a 24x7 basis, it has a workforce of employees (production and staff) and contractors to support the operations.

The Plant Manager reports to the Director of Global Manufacturing, Acidulants in the United States, and will be in charge of group of 4-5 direct reports in the facility.

Will be responsible for leading the communication and support of the Mission, Vision and Values of the Company including but not limited to the areas of Safety, Quality, Environmental, Cost and Production.

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned)

- The Safety and Environmental performance, compliance, objectives, etc. of the manufacturing site.
- Responsible for Quality and ISO Certifications
- Manages a workforce of employees and contractors.
- Is responsible for the organizational development of direct reports and maintains succession plan for key employees
- Manages quality, cost, production, process improvement, and capital projects.
- Tracks and controls variable and fixed costs, yields, production data, and quality metrics to meet objectives.
- Drives process improvement
- Identify cost savings opportunities and deliver to them
- Champions ownership and accountability in the location
- Plans and prepares capital plans and initiates capital projects.
- Coordinates the interactions with internal departments of T&L, i.e. accounting, purchasing, etc. as well as outside entities, i.e. audit groups, government agencies, etc., in regards to the plant operations and site services.
- Works closely with US colleagues to foster team building and learning in benchmarking and best practice activities

Qualifications:

- Has a proven record of managing a safety focused organization.
- BS in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry preferred
- A minimum of 7-10 years leading a manufacturing teams in larger plants
- Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and technical skills.
- Must be a self-motivated, positive thinking, creative, and a team player.
- Proven problem solving skills
- Fluent in English and Portuguese
