HSE Manager (Mining Project) – PANAMA – SALARY AND BENEFITS ATTRACTIVE!
My client is a multinational with one of the biggest mining projects over in South America.
They are now looking for a HSE Manager, who will be a member of the Owner's Team, responsible for the delivery of the project and will also be responsible for the development and effective implementation of management systems and tools to manage and reduce risk thereby improving the safety and health performance to ensure the well-being of our employees and contractors.
Main responsibilities will be:
• Improving Safety and Health Performance;
• Risk Management;
• Annual SECA Reports.
Qualifications and Competences:
• University undergraduate degree or preferably a graduate degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health, engineering, geological sciences or a related field;
• Ten or more years of mining or construction safety and health experience, preferably with at least five years of continuous site experience;
• Adherence to the highest ethical standards, demonstrating accountability, integrity and transparency in actions at all times;
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and health excellence;
• Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence and facilitate change:
• Excellent written communications skills, with the ability to write clearly, concisely and quickly;
• Solid technical skills in safety and health issues;
• Knowledge of legislation and regulations and how they work in practise;
• Willingness to travel extensively to international locations;
• Strong computer skills;
• Knowledge of Spanish is a definite asset.
