Channel Marketing Manager Job Description

Duties

The Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for driving revenue with
channel partners. In partnership with sales, the channel marketing manager
will work closely with channel partners to implement channel marketing plans
to achieve company objectives.

Major Responsibilities:

l Leverage marketing best practices to develop joint marketing plans with
key channel partners

l Negotiate, plan and implement marketing programs that directly increase
channel revenue

l Partner with marketing services to produce effective marketing messaging
and collateral

l Partner with sales to identify growth opportunities in existing partners
as well as new partners

l Represent marketing in contract negotiations and quarterly business
review meetings

l Set expected returns for every activity, measure and analyze the
effectiveness of each marketing program, report on ROI

l Travel to channel partners accounts will be required

Qualifications

l Ability to think and plan strategically and follow through with tactical
implementation meeting the highest marketing standards

l Demonstrable skills building strong relationships with partners as well
as internal sales teams

l Proven ability to understand complex business models and quickly identify
new business opportunities

l Demonstrable skills executing upon entire marketing mix with excellent
attention to detail

l Ability to forecast, track and analyze all marketing activities

l Ability to negotiate contracts to achieve a “win-win” for all involved

l Proven ability to craft compelling business propositions that get
partners to engage and commit

l Confidence in presenting to all levels in an organization

l Good budget management, project management and organizational skills

l Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Experience:

l 5+ years marketing experience

l Channel marketing experience required

l Hands-on channel management experience advantage

l Experience in enterprise segment preferred

l Previous experience developing and managing closed loop marketing
processes (planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, analyzing,
optimizing etc)
