Education and Technical Skills
•Graduation preferably in Computer Science or Engineering in the manufacturing field.
•Knowledge of hardware and software Installation/ Administration.
•Experienced in working with Microsoft product support in trouble-shooting Windows XP/2000, 2003, Vista platform issues.
•Knowledge of Network Performance Monitoring tools.
•Knowledge of telecommunication equipment and services Nortel/Norstar preferred.
•Familiarity and experience with HP-UX, UNIX Systems a plus.
•Web Server/Hosting Administration is a plus.


Qualifications
•Fluent English is mandatory. This position reports to manager outside Brasil (West Kingston, Rhod Island).
•Strong teamwork, trouble-shooting and analytical skills.
•Strong oral and written communication skills (portuguese and english): ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.

Main Responsabilities

•Resolve network issues and/or escalate to corporate resources (network, desktop hardware and software)
••Purchasing, installing, configuring and maintaining computer hardware, peripherals and software
•Participate in global and regional technology and application rollouts
•Gather local input for global and regional projects
•Addressing service issues with local service providers
•Maintain a secure operating environment for the computer systems
•Assisting users with network access/permissions/ security problems
•Training users on use of systems and applications
•Collect appropriate data and evaluate/report on problem trends
•Maintain system documentation, drawings, etc. as appropriate
